Papers of John C. Rogers [manuscript], 1936-1971.

The collection contains letters to Rogers from Virginius Dabney, 1936, returning a letter to the editor which agrees with his view on the Klan, from Murrell Edmunds, 1939, on his health and writings and the state of politics in Virginia, from Marion Hargrove. 1944, rejecting a story for "Yank," and from Robert Talent,1950, mentioning the adadptation of "Mr. Preen's Salon" as a play. There is also a column, 1971 July 27, of anecdotes written by Rogers and 5 negative photographs, 1938, of a one room school northwest of Fishers Hill in Shenandoah County, Va. Includes a photograph of Charles Hockman, who attended the school as a young man.
